Rose

Dry-folded in homemade sandwich paper, pink and green.

This paper looks beautiful! The foil shines through which makes the whole thing sparkle and shine, almost looks like it’s made of metal.

This was a box pleat which I’m usually not a fan of and this design didn’t change my mind about the technique. Extremely tedious, lots of precreasing and repetitive steps, and not a lot that was particularly interesting or deviated from how I expected the folding process to go. Kinda reminiscent of walking to County Market for a rose in the freezing wind back in college.

I’m very happy with how this turned out, it looks very good.

I’m not particularly happy with the design of the petals and I think they could be designed better while still including the stem. This would be a good challenge for a subsequent fold.
