Sheep
Gen Hagiwara

Notes
Wet-folded in homemade double mulberry paper, dark navy-blue and white.
I wanted to be able to get the “floofiness” of the sheep, so the body needed to look big and puffy, with lots of volume and ideally a nice woolly texture. The white mulberry paper was perfect for this and Hagiwara’s design was one of the only sheep I’ve seen that actually has good volume through the body. I’m very happy with how this turned out. The finished model looks like it came from a much simpler folding process than the 90+ steps that it actually took, but the result is worth the effort.
